Beautiful solid Black Driving Mare:  Mia is a pretty and well bred A Division black mare. Her sire is double registered and has won Reserve Junior Stallion at AMHR National Show and Top Ten at the AMHA World Show. Mia is really sweet and has a willing spirit and temperament. She is in training for all around performance and greenbroke for Western Country Pleasure Driving. She has shown at two AMHR Shows in 2012  (Magnolia Miniature Classic and AMHR Area 3 Show) and qualified for the 2012 AMHR National Show.  She was shown in Jumper, Halter Obstacle and Country Pleasure Driving.  She did well for her first time off the farm.  She has been the best friend to our Donkey, Rosebud, until Kupkake came to the farm in August 2011.  Until then, it was difficult to work with her because Rosebud became so upset and eventually upset Mia.  She has finally decided that she is a horse and likes it that way.  Rosebud still wishes Mia was a donkey.  When she first came to live on our farm, she would run from us from time to time and likely would if we just went out to catch her not at feeding time.  We like to think ahead and if we are going to work with the horses put them up so we do not have that to deal with.  Of course, our horses are stalled during the day during show season and graze during the night.  We feel that this helps with not developing bad stall habits and anxiety to allow them to be a horse a few hours a day.  It is very hot in Mississippi and the sun bleaches the coat of the dark colored horses and sunburns the light colored horses.  Mia had a beautiful shiny black coat in 2012 since being stalled out of the hot sun.  She has come along nicely in her training and will bring you many hours of pleasure.  Mia was bred in 2013 for a 2014 foal.  Her first and only foal is a smoky black colt- HA Ivans Moonlight Isidore.

If you are interested in and would like to know more about Mia, please feel free to contact us. She would be an asset to your herd.
